Prosilio

It is located at an altitude of 360 meters and 15 kilometers from the Apartments Taletos towards Kalamata. Prosilio is a village with a spectacular view of the Messinian bay, from where you can distinguish from Petalidi and Koroni on Cape Akritas until Mezapos in southern Mani and to enjoy amazing sunsets.

Prosilio is a traditional village with narrow cobbled streets, picturesque stone houses, towers and tower houses.

It has the biggest sunshine of mainland Greece and is known for its award-winning olive oil.

The impressive temple of Agios Georgios (St. George) dominates at the highest point of the village, which was built in 1833 on the ruins of another temple where a mural painting of Taxiarchis is preserved.
